after the floods, they ran away.. but were hunted down and
executed..
it was tragic but the documentary narrator, in his deadpan way was
hilarious... 'when the barrier gave way, it was clear. they did not
use reinforcement iron bars in the reinforced concrete'
the desperation was something else.. they were pushing everything
they could get their hands on into the breach.. trucks, cars, they
even tried to plug the hole with a barge.. and in other parts, they
drove trains and carriages into breaches..
quite sad..
which is worrying.. look at china now.. longest bridge in the
world.. the CCTV building, the egg and scariest of them all, the
Three Gorges Dam...
all in earthquake zones..
